My work is inspired and reflect my everyday life. Symbolically, they speak about contemporary subjects encompassing our lives with substantial bearings on the past.The inspiration for my works are present in the portrayal of my thoughts which are influenced by vivid dreams, books , nature etc which have left deep set influences . The mediums used comprise the use of diverse motifs such as postcards ,stickers, bindis, prints from wooded blocks.The work revolves around various implications such as life, hope, mystery, and so on. Most works incorporate men, shadows, birds and inanimate objects as the main compositional theme. As our lives grow complex, the simpler systems give way to more intricate arrangements. My works reflects this changing environment . These contemporary musings are portrayed in my work on status of evolving ideologies and motifs inspired by varied sources.
Wheels on the bus- This design is a collaborative work of Rohini Singh and her 3 year old daughter Ahilya. Its Ahilya’s version of the nursery rhyme ‘Wheels on the Bus’.
